Pioneers of gypsy punk, Gogol Bordello will take the stage at JJ Arena Ataşehir on 5 September. Taking place with the organization of Pulse, the concert will bring the band’s distinctive sound, led by Eugene Hütz and blending punk energy with Eastern European influences, together with their dynamic stage performance to Istanbul. Known for their vibrant atmosphere, Gogol Bordello is preparing to meet music lovers at one of the season’s most notable international concerts.

Adapted from the cult film starring Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner, The Bodyguard is coming to Turkey for the first time with its original international touring production. Presented through a collaboration between BKM and Zorlu PSM, the musical will be staged at Zorlu PSM from 11–20 September. The production brings together the story of former Secret Service agent Frank Farmer and global superstar Rachel Marron, whom he is assigned to protect, blending suspense and romance. Whitney Houston’s unforgettable songs, including I Will Always Love You, I Wanna Dance with Somebody, I Have Nothing, and Run to You, will be performed live on stage. Featuring an international cast, a powerful orchestra, impressive stage design, and dynamic choreography, the production brings the atmosphere of the West End to Istanbul.

One of Turkish television’s most unforgettable entertainment programs, Şahane Pazar, returns to the stage years later under the signature of Süheyl and Behzat Uygur. Adapted for the stage from the work of Aziz Nesin, Hadi Öldürsene Canikom tells the story of Diha and Siyen, two elderly women living as neighbors in a damp basement, whose lives revolve around loneliness, friendship, and the past. As the lives of the two women, who hold on to each other amid the monotony of everyday life, turn into a different kind of waiting after they hear an announcement on the radio, this poignant story, unfolding between heartbreak, hope, and longing, brings aging and the childlike side within human nature to the stage through Aziz Nesin’s distinctive mischievous style.

After seven seasons, reaching more than 500,000 spectators and attracting attention with its sold-out performances, Amadeus meets theatre lovers for the final time as part of its Farewell Tour. Written by Peter Shaffer, the play brings the relationship between Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Antonio Salieri, filled with admiration, rivalry, and jealousy, to the stage under the direction of Işıl Kasapoğlu. Starring Selçuk Yöntem, Tansu Biçer, Dilan Çiçek Deniz, and Özlem Öçalmaz, the production offers a spectacular theatrical experience with its 70-member cast, impressive stage design, period costumes, and Mozart’s unforgettable music.

Starring Şafak Sezer, Karanlıkta Kumpas offers an interactive stage experience that brings together crime, comedy, and audience participation. A birthday celebration at a luxurious farmhouse cut off from the outside world by a severe snowstorm turns into a crime scene when the host, Evren, becomes the victim of a mysterious murder. When Commissioner Aslan arrives at the scene to find the killer, he asks the audience for help. Spectators question the suspects and become part of both the investigation and the play’s finale. Written by Ali Erkan Ersezer and directed by Ebru Kara, the production features Şafak Sezer alongside Şebnem Özinal, Zeynep Kankonde, Özgür Özgülgün, Burak Alkaş, Deniz Oral, Ömür Arpacı, and Bensu Begoviç.

Bringing physical theatre together with smartphone technology, A Teen Odyssey invites audiences to become an active part of the story at Paribu Art Main Stage from 17–20 September. Exploring the search for identity and belonging during adolescence through intergenerational connections, the interactive production brings live performance and technology together while focusing on the shared emotions of young people across different generations. Recognized for its visual world and sound design, the production was included in The Guardian’s “20 Theatre Shows to See This Summer” selection for the 2025 Edinburgh Festival and will be staged a total of 10 times over four days in Istanbul.
